On my desk

The start of a new piece of work.
Selecting which cloth and trim to use.
The flower is from an old tray cloth I've cut up.
Not sure where this is piece is going yet, whether it will be a small sampler or made into something larger.

  1. What a beautiful cloth and yes I would of chopped it up too. I find some with marks on them in op shops and collect them for jobs like this but I sadly haven't done any for years. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Now I never thought of chopping an embroidery up but that is a good idea. I have some that my aunt did years ago. What a way to save something that is too marked to use. Mind you it will take a lot of courage for me to do it. A bit different if you don't know the maker I suppose.
Love the direction you are going with your fabrics and lace.

I'm only just getting round to doing a bit of blog hopping to check out what my friends have been up to this week....a 6am to 9pm day with my gorgeous grandchildren yesterday sort of got in the way of blogging....but I'm not complaining cos it was a wonderful day. :-)
